Abdominal Pain
Abdominal pain can come from many origins. Abdominal pain that is accompanied by a high fever, and the inability to urinate or defecate, is a medical emergency and the next call should be 911. Diffuse abdominal pain, or chronic abdominal pain that interferes with activities of daily living may be a treatable with physical interventions. It is important to understand that pain is the body’s way of telling you that something is wrong. Abdominal pain can be complicated by spinal abnormalities and has been treated by chiropractic and physical modalities in the past. A thorough evaluation including pertinent testing is important to determine if the pain you are experiencing is treatable with physical interventions.
Additional testing including CT scan of the abdomen, blood chemistry, and magnetic resonance (MRI) may be necessary for the patients who present to the CBP Spine center with abdominal pain.
