CBP: “Clinical Biomechanics of Posture”
What is CBP?
CBP currently is the most researched form of chiropractic in the history of chiropractic! The research team that studies CBP Chiropractic consists of mathematicians, engineers, MDs, DCs, and even a rocket scientist! This team has thoroughly studied all aspects of your CBP chiropractic experience, reliability, validity and consistency of spinal correction giving you the best in chiropractic care! CBP Philosophy is published in prestigious journals such as “Spine” and “The Journal of Rehabilitation Research and Development” to name just a few of the 120 publications. This research only adds to the credibility, reliability, and effectiveness of CBP chiropractic. As a patient in the CBP Spine Center, you have science on your side!
CBP Philosophy is quite brilliant. Each spine is unique and requires a unique approach towards correction. Instead of just reducing symptoms or temporarily relieving pain, our goal at the CBP Spine Center is to correct the cause of these symptoms, so they won’t come back. Plain and simple. Our protocols are the most effective in changing the spine towards normal. The spine has one normal position, a position which minimizes stress on the nervous system, skeletal system, and muscular system. This normal position is important in reducing abnormal symptoms, such as pain, as well as improving overall function and prevention of spine problems later in life. Through a customized treatment plan and lifestyle changes, you can have the freedom from pain you deserve. Feel like you’ve just won the lottery? Well, in a way, you have! CBP and its physicians and practices are truly a spinal-correcting gift to the world.
Why is CBP Different?
Choosing a Chiropractor is a big decision, and finding one with the credentials and know-how is an even greater step. Rest assured that you are in good hands. Chiropractic methods have been in practice for over 110 years, and are continuously evolving. It is important in this office that the techniques used are advanced, researched and valid. We work with each patient on an individual basis providing a unique approach to each spinal structure and structural differences. Research has shown that there are over 128 million possible postures! This means that each individual is different and each spine is different, too. You, as our patient, along with your unique structure are important and valued by all CBP staff.
We begin with an initial thorough evaluation including x-rays measured and studied by one of the nation’s most referenced, Dr. Jason Haas. Your treatment plan is then created placing you back on the road to health and freedom. Our office has one main concern-you! At CBP, we provide a spa-like ambiance to promote the most relaxed atmosphere for healing. The doctors’ consider partnership with you, the patient, of utmost importance. After the first three months of specific adjustments partnered with instructions you receive in doing your exercises, working hard in traction and following through with recommended life-style changes, we will retake your x-rays. Progress is proven at CBP, and we are proud to restore you to a normal spinal position.
Posture is the Window to the Spine

What is Normal?
Normal values exist in all bodily functions. Normal blood pressure, normal temperature, normal blood sugar, and normal hormone levels are just a few examples of a body’s normal values. Just as there are normal values in all bodily functions, there are normal curvatures of the spine. When looking at the spine in the frontal view, the spine should be straight. The ear should be directly over the shoulder, the shoulder directly over the hip, and the hip directly over the ankle. If these normal structures and postures are not seen, stress and strain are placed upon the spine. These stresses and strains lead to breakdown in the tissues causing dysfunction and eventually pain. The restoration of normal structure as facilitated by you CBP Chiropractor will lead to normalized function in the body.
Why X-rays Are Important
X-rays determine where the spine is in relation to the normal spinal models. Without an x-ray, need that demands correcting cannot be determined. X-rays must be taken to resolve the cause of your complaints. Concerning x-rays, it is important to understand the differences between normal and abnormal. The proper course of treatment is drafted once your x-rays have been reviewed by your CBP Chiropractor.
Education is Key
Education is a main key to CBP success. It’s not just about the knowledge of the CBP Practitioners although that is at the top of the list. It’s about the partnership between the doctors’ professional integrity, and the daily perseverance of the patient. These two key points pasted together with positive attitude can create lasting changes towards a healthier and happier life. Spinal health is a way of life, and a freedom pointing towards a healthier way of living.
CBP and Kids

Did you know that the first part that forms is an embryo in the nervous system? From this nervous system, direction is given for the proper formation of vital organs, muscles, and skeleton. Without the proper signal from the growing nervous system, nothing would form properly, and normal growth would not occur. CBP chiropractors are specially trained to detect spinal abnormalities even in the youngest spines. Our CBP doctors can see abnormal posture, feel muscle spasms, and if needed, verify spinal abnormalities with x-rays. These spinal abnormalities can then be corrected, not allowing them to lead to pain and dysfunction later in life. CBP offers kids the treatment and knowledge to make this prevention last.
The Stress Factor
Stress if very common in our society. From upset stomachs to back pain and muscle stiffness, the function to the nervous system is crucial. The CBP chiropractic approach to stress is to help normalize the function of your nervous system by finding the “weak links” in your spine, which is the major communication pathway of your nervous system. This can help restore better function making a profound difference in your response to stress.
